I never started this blog!

I just discovered I made this blog a long time ago and never started it. I was commenting on a fellow artist's blog and looked at my profile to see what it said since I haven't been on blogspot in a long while. (We have a website now for sailing). I was excited to see this here, I've been wanting to blog about my art again as others do. Most of my art lately has been yarn. I also made a needle felt last night again and hope to do another one today. I have painted some watercolors of Cathy's animals and one even sold at an art gallery event at Maude Kern's! Very inspiring but I haven't done hardly any painting lately. I just moved into my own place though. I had bought a converter box for my tv and found myself watching too much smut and not doing any of my art. So i returned the box to have no tv (gasp!) It has worked wonders. I made 3 yarns and the needle felt this week. I have the itch again to do jewelry again. I might convert to brass jewelry and sidestep most of the sterling silver due to the price of it now. The brass is still beautiful yet affordable. Brett and I have always had the theology to make high-end silver jewelry to sell with smaller inventory but with the changed economy, I am starting to see that people want to buy jewelry but cheaper. They still want their pretties but can't afford the high-end anymore. They don't care about the materials as much as the design. If I don't learn how to adapt and change in my business I will never grow. I still want to use sterling but am thinking about changing my style a bit. I also have had an idea for a long time to do a collection of necklaces - I won't give it away but it's expensive and I hope someday I will have enough to buy the materials and introduce my designer line of necklaces. I have tons of ideas and not enough time for them all! I have been trying to whittle away my art to a narrower spectrum but still find a craving to make things from many mediums. I have been doing research a lot on how to be successful at selling online and trying to come up with a better marketing plan. Enough gabbing, here's some things I've been working on...
